About us

Govinda Godham Goshala started its function in 2010 but was formally inaugurated on Akhyaya Trutiya, 2013 About 300 cows and above every month are transported to slaughterhouses. To protect the cows from cow slaughters we started the goshala with minimum facility for the protection of the mother cow. We aim to give shelter to about 10000 cows in our Goshala scattered over six acres of fertile land with beautiful landscapes and water bodies.

The goshala is situated in the village Alipada, Goruala, Puri Bramhagiri road Dist.Puri.This is about 60KMs away from (Bhubaneswar) the capital of Odisha and 8-10 distance from Jagannath Dham, Puri.

The main aims & objectives of the Goshala are to provide shelter to the old, sick, abandoned, destitute cattle and detained cattle seized on illegal transportation. Besides, our goal is also very clear regarding the protection & conservation of indigenous cattle. Accordingly keeping this noble cause all members of the trust unanimously resolved on 10.06.2016 to provide AC 5.68 of land of the trust for undertaking Goshala activities.

We are in a growing stage. Still, at present Gobind Godham Goshala has infrastructures like large & small animal sheds feeding channels, water troughs & go-down land for cultivation of green fodder, and a vast grazing area, etc. Now we are giving shelter to 755 no’s of cattle in our Goshala without getting financial assistance/grant from the government (state & central) till today.

Our Secretary cum founder trustee Pandit Bishnu Charan Panda Maharaj ji is a Vedic Brahmin &devotional & spiritual speaker. He speaks Ramayana katha and Sundarakanda at different places all over India & all over the world. He donates his all amount to our goshala. We salute him for his dedication.
